RULES OF RENTAL & CANCELLATION FOR Melvern Lake Marina RENTAL EQUIPMENT
A $200.00 deposit will be required for reservations of all motorized watercraft. Auxillary equipment may also require a deposit.
72 hour notice of cancellation is required for a full rental deposit refund. Notifications after 72 hours but more than 48 hrs will receive a prorated refund of 66%, and notifications after 48 hrs but more than 24 hrs will receive a prorated refund of 33%.
In the event of severe or inclement weather, MLM will reserve the right to disallow the use of the equipment and a full refund of any deposits will be given.
Primary renter must be 21 years of age and posess a valid US State issued drivers license. All persons in party must obey all State and Federal fishing and boating regulations.
If rental equipment is NOT returned at the agreed time, renter agrees to pay for additional time, at the listed hourly rate, in increments of 15 minutes. Full day rental will be considered at a minimum of 10 hours to determine hourly rate.
Renter agrees to assume full responsibility for any and all damages incurred to rental craft and/or equipment while under this contract with MLM. Any rental equipment or individual items found missing or damaged from the rental equipment due to negligence or intentional misuse will result in the renter being charged up to the full current retail price for the replacement and/or labor costs of these items or equipment.
Life Jackets, cushions, etc. are designed for safety and emergency use only and the loss of these items during the rental period will also be subject to replacement charges.
Allowance of pets will be on a case by case basis, and any and all actions of a pet will be the responsibility of the renter.
IF PROPELLER DAMAGE OCCURS DURING YOUR RENTAL, A REASONABLE REPLACEMENT/REPAIR FEE WILL BE ASSESSED. We reserve the right to choose a propeller repair vendor or replacement supplier.
In the event of mechanical or engine failure of any equipment, the renter agrees to not attempt repairs and to call Melvern Lake Marina immediately for assistance. (620) 256 – 6566.
No barbeque grills or cooking sources are allowed on any rental equipment.
No beaching of motorized rental boats.
No water craft operator shall be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the rental period.
Rental craft and/or equipment returned excessively dirty will result in a reasonable cleaning charge of at least $25 and not to exceed the replacement value of the equipment.
